  • About me

    Ritchie R. Bryant is a culturally Deaf native ASL user from Texas with over 20 years of experience in Deaf education and interpreting. He is currently a faculty member at Gallaudet University, teaching courses in interactive interpreting with a focus on Deaf business owners.


    Ritchie holds a BA in ASL from Gallaudet and an M.S. in Deaf Education from McDaniel College. A Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI) since 2007, he has interpreted in legal, medical, and Deaf-Blind settings, and has trained Deaf ASL mentors through national grant programs.


    He is the founder of FCBU Media and the content creator of Gesture THAT!, a visual-gestural eWorkbook designed to reimagine how gesture and ASL connect in education. His leadership includes roles with RID, NBDA, and the Deafhood Foundation. Ritchie is deeply committed to uplifting African-American Deaf culture, especially through storytelling. He also enjoys video editing and using technology to enhance ASL instruction, continuing to mentor and inspire the next generation of interpreters.
